Innovation Culture (2hr workshop)

This workshop enables participants to build their personal and organizational innovative capacity. Participants learn the characteristics that differentiate innovators from non-innovators and develop the five discovery skills – observing, questioning, experimenting, networking, associational thinking – that enhance personal innovative and creative capabilities. Participants also learn the cultural characteristics that foster creative and innovative thinking within an organization.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Understand the behaviors that lead to innovative thinking
  • Enhance personal creativity by applying discovery skills
  • Develop a work culture that fosters creativity and innovation

Design Thinking (customized 2 or 3-day workshop)

This customized workshop enables participants to build essential innovation skills that can be applied to the development of new products, services, processes, and even policies. Participants will learn how to formulate design challenges aimed at addressing organizational, social, or market needs; engage with relevant stakeholders to identify key end user needs and challenges; generate ideas to address user needs; transform ideas into tangible prototypes; and validate prototypes with end users.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Focus innovative activity around specific organizational, market, or social needs/challenges
  • Formulate design challenges in human-centered terms
  • Ideate around the design challenge
  • Develop tangible solutions and validate their responsiveness to end user needs


Lean Startup (1-day workshop)

This workshop builds on the Design Thinking workshop and provides participants with an effective approach to implementing their product/service ideas. Participants will learn techniques for building and assessing Minimum Viable Products and developing business models for their products and services.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Develop a Minimum Viable Product and test plan
  • Develop and test their customer-product value hypotheses
  • Develop a business model using the Business Model Canvas

Value Innovation (customized 1 or 2-day workshop)

This workshop provides participants with key frameworks required to deliver unique customer value. Participants will learn to identify how different companies within a given industry deliver value to consumers; develop value curves to map delivered value versus perceived value; interpret value curves to understand the gaps between desired value and delivered value; and apply the Four Actions Framework to reconstruct the value curve in order to deliver differentiated value to consumers.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Map the value that an organization delivers to consumers through its products and services
  • Compare and interpret value curves of competing organizations within the same industry
  • Apply a framework to develop differentiated value
